Dear Ali, It was only last week that I learned that you were no longer in the states! Congratulations. This seems so exciting!! I love to travel and learn about other countries. I enjoy all the things that they do differently and all the ways they think that we americans are odd. I also remember how lonesome I got when Susan, Nathanial and I traveled to Australia. I lived for the letters that would come regularily from my family and my good friend Dan.
I also would come running from any portion of our flat if I heard the music of the evening news from the States...Dah Dah dat dah.... The evening news came into Sydney at 10 am. I will try to write often. I will keep you informed of the boring things of Salem Oregon. Please let me know the best way to communicate...this way...e-mail or the old fashioned post. I can attempt to keep in touch any of those ways. I suck at smoke signals. We send you all of our love from the Oregon crowd!
